[CHALLENGE] February = FAILED

As you guys may have noticed, I've totally let you down this month. Two months in to my challenge, and I'm failing! I did have ideas and plans for DIY's, but as mentioned in the last post, money was a little tight this month. It was tough to get supplies. I will try my best to make it up to you! Fortunately, I was able to continue my January challenge into this month. The video is complete and posted! Take a look and let me know what you think. You can find the description of each day on the video's YouTube page and be sure to watch it in HD. Enjoy!

[OUTFIT] Sparkle Up!

My spending money has been pretty tight lately. To justify myself for not purchasing anything at the Value Village 50% off sale on Monday, I told myself it was OK to get this $10  sparkly blazer jacket thing from Urban Outfitters. It is a little bit tight in the shoulders, but for $10 I couldn't complain too much. I thought it was a really fun piece, so why not?! I also loved the idea of dressing it down by wearing a beanie with it. It adds a bit of extra edge.

[OUTFITs] The Fashion Citizen Clothing Swap Collab!

Well, I GIVE UP! I'm going to post this any way. I've waited well over a month for a reply from them, without any luck.

I'm excited to share this post with everyone! I got in touch with Steph from the famous YouTube channel The Fashion Citizen to do a sort of vintage/second hand clothing swap! Along with pieces of clothing, we wanted to send each other things that sort of represent where we come from, Steph and Melissa being from Arizon. Take a look at what they sent me!

Unfortunately, they don't seem to want to make a video sharing what I sent them. If you'd like to find out what I've sent them, it would mean the world to me if you could message them! Thank you.

[OUTFIT] West Coast Purchases

To go along with my $25 vintage finds from Value Village in Victoria, I wanted to share with you what else I got when I was out West! I didn't get everything photographed, but I wanted to share with you some of the other pieces. I'll do another post soon enough with the others, I promise! In this post I'm missing two pairs of shoes and a couple of t-shirts. At least they'll be another outfit post to come! Let me know what you think :)

[VIDEO] Free People's Roshambo

I wanted to share with you Free People's first short film. Perfect for Valentine's Day, the film is about a love story set in Brooklyn. All of Sheila Marquez's clothing is from Free People spring collection. It's absolutely adorable and a must watch!

[OUTFIT] Value Village Outfit for $25!

I was at Value Village in Victoria yesterday and managed to put a whole outfit together for $25! (The necklace and tights are excluded...but shh) One good way to find a nice oversized dress? Check out the women's blouses in large and XL! They'll usually be long enough. This one does happen to have shoulder pads. I thought about cutting them out, I may still do it, but they're not that big and they give a subtle strong shoulder. I then found these AMAZING Nine West shoes, and I absolutely had to get them. The right shoe does have some water stains on it, but I'm sure I can fix that! I also managed to get $2 off of them because of the stains (hourray for bargaining!). For jewelry I found this very cute dainty bracelet with a blue stone. It's a nice touch of colour to my usual silver and brown bracelets. I couldn't leave VV without a pair of retro looking earrings.

THIS IS MY 300th POST! WOOOAH

Blouse/dress - $7.99
Shoes - $12.50
Earrings - $2.99
Bracelet - $1.99

[CHALLENGE] February

On to the February challenge! I mentioned that I would do one craft/DIY a week for the month. Unfortunately, I will not be back home until the the first week of February is over. So I will do 3 crafts/DIY's for the last 3 weeks! I hope that's alright with you guys. I will pick a craft/DIY a week online, show my step by step process, as well as the end result! I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun, and hopefully I'll be able to inspire some of you.

(if you want to see the result of the January challenge, check out the previous post!)
