[ACCESSORIES] Winter Toques

The two toques I ordered from ASOS came in, and I cannot be more stoked about them! I got one that says 'Weirdo' by Lazy Oaf, and another knit one with a faux fur pompom. They are both unique and fun, and I really think they can jazz up a winter outfit. 

Let me tell you my personal opinion about the whole 'beanie' and 'toque' discussion. I consider it that if one of these hats doesn't have a big pompom on it, then it's a beanie. When it does have a pompom, I consider it a toque...so there.

[ACCESSORIES] Fall Boots & Booties

I seem to be pretty excited for Fall, but let it be known that it's the fashion I'm excited for! Not so much the cold weather...well maybe some cooler weather. All I know is that Fall turns into Winter, which I'm not most fond of.

Amongst the layering, sweater weather, and beanies, boots and booties are something I'm very excited about. Although I did end up wearing boots most of the summer, most shops are only getting their selection of boots now. There's so much variety of buckles, lace up, metal, and even colour this Fall, you really can't go wrong. Apart from the usual black and browns, we're finding a lot of taupe's and olive's which is a fun change. Take a look! And get your Fall strut on!

[ACCESSORIES] Intergalocktic - Marc by Marc Jacobs

My new purse came in! And I absolutely needed to share with you. My old MbyMJ was 3 years old and the leather on the straps was ready to break. I'm still going to try to get it fixed, but until then I've got this new guy! At first I was thinking of getting the Rebecca Minkoff MAC clutch, but then discovered the Intergalocktic Ozzie Sia by Marc by Marc Jacobs and I totally loved it. I thought it was really different from other MbyMJ's and loved the sort of vintage look of it. I'm really happy I went with this one! I've been using it every day.

[ACCESSORIES] Shoe News

The title? A play on words my dad always does. There you have it. Anyway! My new Steve Madden boots came in a couple of days ago. When the came in, I made sure to throw out my old combat looking boots that had the biggest hole. Steve Madden always seems to fit me perfectly! They're made a little more narrow, which is good for my little feet. I've been wearing them almost every day since I got them. One thing I find a little strange is that strap around the ankle, it actually can come right off.

[ACCESSORIES] The Ropes Bracelet

I work at the fabulous Viens avec moi every once in a while when they are in need of someone to look after the shop. A couple of days ago, they got a new (huge!) shipment of The Ropes bracelets. They're made in Maine, with a lovely nautical them, and they are simply amazing! So many great colours...I wish I could have them all. They really make me think of something The Man Repeller would wear. I picked one with some neon yellow, to have an extra pop of colour.

I'm helping out at the lovely boutique Viens avec moi today, and I'm really falling in love with all of the Garrett Leight sunglasses. They're supposed to be for men...but they all have amazing shape and colours. I think most girls can pull them off as well. I actually sold the pair I tried on for this photo earlier to a woman.

[ACCESSORIES] M by MJ Laptop Sleeve

Since I'm in Toronto until tomorrow, I thought I'd check out Yorkdale. I was being very good at saying no to everything beautiful I laid my eyes on. Unfortunately, while strolling through Holt Renfrew quickly, I stumbled upon the Marc by Marc Jacobs laptop sleeves that I've wanted for a very long time. Best part? It was on sale! I really could not resist. I hope my mom won't be TOO mad at me...

[ACCESSORIES] Oscar de la Renta Scarf

I was in Ottawa over the weekend for my grandmother's funeral. She was such an amazing and inspirational woman. She will be greatly missed. After the funeral all the kids and grandkids went to the apartment to pick out some objects to remember our grandmother by. I found this lovely Oscar de la Renta scarf. I was completely shocked when I found it. She had a great love for fashionable clothing, and once I saw the scarf, I had to have it. On t'aime beaucoup grand-maman, tu va beaucoup nous manquer.

I was initially going to get the Ray Ban Meteor's. They were ready at the cash and everything! Then I noticed these lovelies. I tried them on, and I instantly fell in love! I love the big bold shape of them.

[ACCESSORIES] Possible New Ray Bans

As many of you may know, I almost got in a pretty big bike accident a few months ago, which resulted in snapping my Ray Ban Wayfarer's in half. It was a sad sad day. I haven't found a new pair to replace them, until now! I've discovered that Ray Ban has a new style of sunglasses called Meteor. Looking at them, I find they're sort of a cross between the Wayfarers and the Club Masters. I really like the look of them, and I really hope I can get my hands on some tortoise shell ones!

[ACCESSORIES] Circus-y Flag Necklace

City Downtown is coming to an end! So the sales have began. I've wanted this necklace from the beginning! We had two of them, and there was the one left for me! I was so glad we still had it, I would have been regretful for not getting it. The necklace is made by a company called Its your Life, and they make lots of wonderful vintage inspired pieces! I love this necklace because it's not too BAM! but it's still fun.

I am completely, totally, utterly in love with this Chanel purse. I'd seen this sort of shape before, but not in this fabulous colour! I stumbled upon it on Tumblr,  and of course I NEEDED to share.

Topshop is now open at The Bay in Toronto! October 5th was the grand opening. Today, I finally got around to checking it out. They've got lots of wonderful knit sweaters for the fall season, among other things. Anyway, I didn't make any big purchases today, just some darling earrings.

I found this lovely pair of vintage Feragamo's! I was so so excited to find them and they were exactly my size. I told my mom and she was so excited about it as well (there's a whole history behind it hehe). I do need to polish the buckle in front a little bit, but I think they are so darling!

[ACCESSORIES] 19th Birthday

I recently turned 19, last week in fact! I completely lost it when my boyfriend just showed me the box with the present he had for me. I recognized it right away!

One of the famous Yves Saint Laurent rings you see on many fashion blogs. I was absolutely blown away that he went through all the trouble of getting it (and thank goodness it was my size) because we live in Canada, and they only ship to the US. 

All to say, I'm completely in love with it! And still in shock that he got me something so amazing!
