Well that do you know, earlier today I got a little bored. I was styling my hair after my shower, doing my make up, all while blasting some Alex Winston, and thought I would take a couple silly selfies...
Despite living in a city filled with government jobs (which include most women wearing out of date pant suits with running shoes...) once you head in the market of downtown Ottawa, you can find more fashionable ladies. Here are the one's I was able to capture!

Today I'm finally going to kick myself in the butt (again) and go downtown Ottawa in the market and take some street style shots :) I'll be sure to take plenty! And will post later this afternoon...as I'm also going to go to the gym.
Florence and The Machine really never ceases to amaze me. Every song has such great melody with an awesome variety of instruments. Of course, Florence Welch's is absolutely beautiful. I'm so incredibly excited for her new album to come out! And from the sound of "What The Water Gave Me", I think it's going to be an amazing album.
This weekend, I went to Toronto, to move out of the old, and into the new! I'm going to be living with two friends from Ottawa. I'm incredibly excited to be moving into such a spacious apartment that's so close to a cute village full of great shops.
A few days ago, my mom brought up that "oh! I actually have a Gucci watch from before you were born!" Today, she dug through drawers and drawers of clothes to look for it, and found it! The battery in it is dead, but I can easily get that replaced. It's got a black, sort of scaly strap and a very simple and chic case. Compared to the popular big watches people have these days, this one is quite small, but I love it!
So finally! I've had time to set up my camera to take some full outfit looks. I'm hoping I'll be able to update regularly. Please take a look! Hype! Comment! Yap!...In this photo, I also just got a haircut. It's nothing drastic of course, I'm too scared to chop my hair off.
OK Go is definitely known for their interesting and impressive music videos. In their video for All Is Not Lost, they bring it to a whole other level with sea foam onesies and kaleidoscope effects. It's very fun to watch! And the song isn't bad either.
I'd seen this sweater in the men's section at Urban Outfitters, and really liked it! But I did not want to pay 60$ for it. When I went back today, I was so happy to see it in the sale section! For 20$! Which was a much better deal. It's a little bit of a silly sweater...but I really enjoy it.
On Tumblr, iloverunways posted some behind the scenes photos of the MiH Jeans Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook. I love the elegance of the clothing, and of the models hair and makeup. It all works so wonderfully together. Check out MiH Jeans
I made this video for my friend Maddy who needed some help with twist knotting headbands. I'm sorry the focus isn't so great, I had to film it myself, and tried to use the reflexion of a mirror to figure it out. Enjoy!
Using the instructions from Honestly WTF's DIY I made a couple of these awesome bracelets. One of them I made too big, hopefully I'll find someone to wear it. Check out Honestly WTF's site for the step by step!
I spent the last couple of days in BC in Vancouver. I attended my cousins wedding, which was a whole lot of fun! I got to see some cousins I hadn't seen in a very long time. I thought I'd share a few photos with you.
I'm presently listening to this song in the airport in Vancouver. Seeing as how my flight is delayed an hour, I thought I'd check Hype Machine for any good new tunes. I found this one! And I'm really tempted to start dancing around like a fool. It's super catchy, and Ellie's voice is always so wonderful.
And so, my time in Whistler has come to an end. I had a really fantastic time! And I'm so glad I got to see all the great Whistlerites again! It as a great vacation. I'm now back in Vancouver, only until Sunday, for my cousins wedding. It's pretty exciting stuff, I get to see some cousins I haven't seen in a while, dress up, and have some more fun! Today, we went shopping of course. I got a great new dress, pants, shirt (which I will share with you soon!) as well as these great shoes from Aldo. I like them because the heel isn't to to high, as I'm already quite tall.
Although it's more "Village Style".... Anyway! Today I finally kicked myself in the butt and went and took some photos of the great style some of the ladies have in Whistler! Aside from the mountain bikers, downhill riders, and the very outdoors-y clothing style most people have here, there are many girls who step it up a notch and I would consider Fashionistas. I noticed a lot of loosely fitting, light coloured tops, and many dresses. Here are some of the looks I liked best!
Euuh is it just me? Or is this bag freaking fantastic?! Smooth natural cowhide, 14-karat light gold plated hardware, this cross body bag is just absolutely stunning! Check out all the other great features here
I haven't posted in a while, and I hate it! We changed places in Whistler, and the place we're staying now does not have Internet! It's really quite upsetting. I also haven't had much of a chance to take fashion-ish photos, since it's a very outdoors-y environment. All I know is that before I leave! I must do a street style post, some of the gals here do have a great sense of style! Anyway, last night after hanging with some friends and having a few drinks, I thought I'd take some photos of various ways I do my hair (besides the typical loose braid I do to create my very loose wave look) They really aren't anything very exciting, but here they are.
All down - I surprisingly don't wear it like this often, I find it gets annoying.
Long bangs pined back - This is how I mostly wear it, not necessarily with a big bow (usually just a plain bobby pin) but I did it here because it matched the shirt I was wearing hehe.
High twist bun - It isn't always high, and with a bow, but I felt like doing it so.
